The Presidents’ Council is looking for mentors for The PC Scholar’s 2017-2018 Program Year. Truly impact a student’s life by sharing your talents and skills to mold and polish our future leaders of Cleveland Ohio.
About our PC Scholars Program:
Through a longstanding relationship with the Cleveland Metropolitan School District, The PC Scholars Program works with 10th, 11th, and 12th graders from the Cleveland area and inner ring high schools; and is designed to produce the next generation of professionals, entrepreneurs and leaders for our community. Each program workshop is focuses on on of the four key areas: leadership skills, life skills, academic achievement , and college and career preparedness.
The PC Scholars Program is also designed to help students prepare for high school graduation, and expose them to various college and career opportunities. Upon completion of the program, students are eligible to receive a scholarship up to $1500 at the time of graduation from high school.
This three year program begins during the sophomore year of high school and continues until the student graduates. During this time, students meet bi- monthly on the campus of Case Western Reserve University, our educational partner, to learn more about improving communication, teamwork, how to leverage their passion to create a career and how to achieve financial independence.
Commit to meet for at least 4 – 6 hours per month to your schoalrs
Have bi-weekly phone contact with your scholars
Provide equal participation during PC Scholar Events and/or workshops
